Logan Pest Control, who would have thought, hey!
In 2008, I began working as an “Industrial Cleaner” for a pest control company in Central Queensland. After a few months on the job, I started working with other technicians to learn the Pest Management trade. With a copy of “Urban Pest Management in Australia”, I learnt more about the technical aspects of this kind of work. As time passed, I did more and more pest work and a little less cleaning. I have learnt that cleaning is an essential part of pest control.
My Employer was very encouraging and would often take staff to conferences and product launches to learn new skills and techniques.
Soon, I was licensed and doing various pest work on my own and some as part of a team. Over time I have treated a variety of pest infestations and problems. I consider myself quite skilled at domestic and commercial pest control, including hotels, kitchens and large rodent baiting/monitoring systems.
In 2015, I moved to Brisbane and worked for a company for about four years doing most of their general pest work. I travelled all over Brisbane, Gold Coast, Logan, and even places like Lismore in NSW.
After taking some leave, I decided that I was ready to start my own business with the help of another business owner and family friend. “Logan Pest Control” was up and running on the 1st of July 2019, and things have been going progressively well.
I am still interested in improvement and am still in the habit of finding out about new products and techniques. In September 2019, I gained approval from the National Fire Ant eradication program to eradicate Fire Ants. I hope I can help with your pest problems sometime down the track.
My newest venture is to offer a better service for mosquitoes, and I am looking to expand my knowledge in this field. I will be incorporating new technologies to keep homes free from mosquitos all year round in the future. I am also looking at doing more training for trapping European wasps so they don’t ever get to that stage of being a giant angry nest hanging above your door frame.
